Krikorian Theatres built one of their high-end entertainment complexes in Lexington, KY. Inside the multi-use building: (10) movie theaters, restaurants, bars, luxury bowling, & games/arcade.

The Challenge

Design, build, and install a spectacular, one of a kind, vertical, marquee sign in the heart of downtown Lexington, KY, directly across the street from the home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats Men's Basketball Team, Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.

The Solution

Customer visit to the Ruggles Sign Lab for lighting, color, material, & design review. During this visit, the Ruggles Sign team was able to meet with the customer, show prototypes for design, colors, fonts, lighting, as well as other miscellaneous details. An in person visit to our Sign Lab can save all parties time and emails.
Visit Success Details: Determined best LED lighting for the marquee sign, (letters & louvers); defined programming for RGB, multicolor LED's behind "Theatres" copy only; Oversize Concave, Rolled Stainless Steel; Stainless Steel Spacers; Combining Engineering Requirements with the Visual Aspects of the Design.
During the final assembly process, the Ruggles Sign team adjust the rolled, stainless steel seams to match up visibly and attach tightly to the body of the sign. Many lighting adjustments were made both during assembly and in the field to evenly illuminate all facets of the marquee sign
